### How do I create a wallet?

_Getting started_ — Open Oath and tap “Create a new wallet”. Your keys are generated on your iPhone, then you’ll back up your recovery phrase. It takes about two minutes and needs no account or email.

### Can I import a wallet from another app?

_Getting started_ — Yes. Tap “I already have a wallet” and enter your 12 or 24-word recovery phrase. Oath supports every Bitcoin address type, including BRD wallets, so older wallets restore with their full history.

### Can I create my own recovery phrase with dice?

_Getting started_ — Yes. When creating a wallet, choose to build your own entropy with dice rolls, coin flips or digits. Oath turns your randomness into a standard BIP39 phrase.

### What if I lose my iPhone?

_Backup & recovery_ — Install Oath on any device and restore with your recovery phrase — or with your passkey if you set one up. Your funds live on the blockchain, not on your phone.

### Can Oath recover my recovery phrase?

_Backup & recovery_ — No. Oath never sees or stores your recovery phrase. That’s what keeps your wallet yours — and why it’s important to keep your backup somewhere safe.

### How does passkey restore work?

_Passkeys_ — A passkey is saved to your Apple account and synced end-to-end encrypted. On a new iPhone, tap “Restore with Passkey” and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID.

### Is a passkey a replacement for my recovery phrase?

_Passkeys_ — It’s a convenient extra way to restore. We still recommend keeping your recovery phrase safe as a backup that doesn’t depend on any account.

### Why is my transaction pending?

_Sending & receiving_ — Transactions confirm when the network includes them. Busy networks take longer. You can see the status and the fee you paid in the transaction details.

### What are network fees?

_Sending & receiving_ — Fees go to the network, not to Oath. The exact fee is always shown before you slide to confirm.

### Which address type should I use for Bitcoin?

_Sending & receiving_ — Native SegWit (bc1q) and Taproot (bc1p) have the lowest fees for most people. Oath also supports Silent Payments, Nested SegWit, Legacy and BRD addresses.

### Someone from “Oath support” asked for my phrase.

_Security_ — That is a scam. Oath will never ask for your recovery phrase, private key or passkey. Don’t reply, and forward the message to care@oathwallet.org.

### Is Oath open source?

_Security_ — Yes. The full source is published on GitHub at github.com/devdasx/oath-wallet, the App Store binary is verified against it, and the code is audited by independent firms.

### What is EVM Access?

_EVM Access_ — A tool that lists every token approval your wallet has given to web3 apps on EVM networks, so you can revoke any of them in a tap.

### Does revoking an approval cost a fee?

_EVM Access_ — Yes, a small network fee, because revoking is an on-chain transaction. Oath shows it before you confirm.
